The meaning of the numbers after the HEPA high-efficiency filter
2023-11-29 12:59:56

HEPA high-efficiency filter is a small nuclear equipment in the purification workshop, with a high-density fiber interwoven structure capable of reporting flying insects, dust particles, etc. When viewed at high magnification, the internal shape of the HEPA filter screen is like a horizontally woven filter screen. When the indoor air is looped, the filter screen will filter out the majority of dust particles. In addition, there are also some electrostatic electret technology HEPA filters that can actively adsorb particles.

High efficiency filters are also divided into many levels, with common parameters such as H13 and H14. For HEPA, although the higher the level, the greater the filtration capacity, the greater the airflow resistance when the filter screen crosses the closed area. If a field with lower purification requirements is equipped with an H13 level speed screen, it will improve the efficiency of indoor air circulation, and the purification effect may not be as effective as the 411 level filter screen. Therefore, when washing and selecting filters, a single comparison filter cannot demonstrate the performance optimization of air and filter. Wind star and efficiency are key parameters to consider, which involves a problem, such as the filtration level requirement of H13 efficiency, but the air volume is not enough. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the number of air outlets to solve the problem, rather than blindly reducing the filtration level. In air purification engineering, multiple aspects need to be combined to ensure filtration efficiency.

Here's the question: Is there a significant difference in filtration efficiency between 99.95% and 99.999%?

From the perspective of traditional processes, the difference may not seem significant, but due to the large number of dust particles in the air, which are in the hundreds or even billions of levels, the efficiency difference is very significant. For example, in a 100 level purification workshop, if a 99.95% H13 filter is used, the purification efficiency of the workshop will fail, while H14 may pass the cleanliness test.
